Daniel De Francisco -who sometimes goes by his Black Lodge’s name Daniel Lavín- is an independent filmmaker and photographer, hailing from Spain and based in Japan. He studied filmmaking in his native country. After moving to Tokyo, Daniel directed his first feature film, Acrobats, which was selected for the Gijon International Film Festival, followed up by Anxiety, his sophomore film. In recent years, Daniel has developed his photographic career with focus on documenting the reality of daily life in bustling Tokyo.
